Carnage
Politics was messy and sometimes really nasty
But most participants at least paid lip service
To norms of honesty and integrity
But The Orange American Carnage
Threw that stuff out the window
Prevaricating was the new norm
Along with chaos and corruption
And the legal system became a tool
To subvert the functioning of democracy
The goal apparently being
An imperial autocracy
