GUNS AND GOD

 

Many Congressional Republicans
Don’t acknowledge the possibility
Of common sense gun laws
Or any gun laws actually
 
To them guns are like religion
Both deal with matters
Removed from human comprehension
Matters certainly in the realm
Of government non-intervention
 
The right to bear arms
May not be a Ten Commandment
But it is in the Constitution
And thus equally a sacred statement
