But just what is this thing?
It does sound familiar
Was it seventh grade or eighth
When a teacher explained it to ya’?
Is would not wouldn’t a Double Negative?
Or could not couldn’t?
Or wouldn’t would not?
Or not would but wouldn’t?
Maybe we need a new agency
Of Double Negative Control
And it might keep English majors
Off the public dole
In the Age of Trump
Words can be precarious
Sometimes they mean what they mean
But oft times they are gibberish
