From the very start
Was on top of covid
And did not treat it as a lark
 
And then appeared a fly
Exploring Pence’s white mane
Enthralled by the vast expanse
Of perfectly coiffed terrain
 
Much of the viewing audience
Lost interest in the proceedings
Fascinated by the fly’s
Search for shelter and seedlings
 
Never had the fly
Seen such a paradise
A well-tended forest
Filled with parasites
