THE REPUBLICAN FUTURE?

 

Shut down the government
Is the far-right’s motivator
Chaos and anarchy
Are preferable to the drudgery
Of governing with boring competency
 
Can the Republican Party
Overcome its internal disfunction
And return to the days
Of Eisenhower and Reagan?
 
Or thanks to the Orange Huckster
Is it on a permanent downward journey
Destined to end
On history’s funeral gurney?
