NOT KIDDING ANYONE

 

Republicans may forcefully proclaim
They only want a short-term budget act
So come the new Congress
Their agenda will have a clear track
 
But if truth be told
Many of them are secretly overjoyed
To have Dems bear the political fallout
Of the hard decisions any budget can’t avoid
