Balanced federal budgets are finished

Gone, kaput, done

Given the kiss of death

By a pandemic more scorching than the sun

The last balanced federal budget

Was a product of spend-crazed liberal toadies

Specifically, that Arkansas crowd

Of Bill Clinton and his cronies

Then came Bush-Cheney

And deficits beyond comprehension

Followed by Obama

Who was throttled by the Great Recession

And finally we have

Debt-loving tRump

Who has made a career

Of going bankrupt
